Wildcat Jrs. Welcomes Kirstine Jensen to the staff!

Date Posted: 9/29/2016

We are extremely excited to introduce the newest addition to the Wildcat Jrs family. Please join me in welcoming our new Recruiting Liaison, Lead Trainer, Head Coach, and Youth Program Director: Kirstine Jensen. Kirstine is a long time friend and coaching peer to both Cassie Rose and Karen Sonders. Fun fact —  Kirstine recruited Cassie to Florida State back in 2003 where Cassie was the ACC Freshman of the Year! Kirstine brings amazing backgrounds as both a player and a coach. Kirstine joins Wildcat Jrs. coach Toni Alford in the Big Ten Champion club! Kirstine played volleyball at Ohio State, where she helped lead her team to a Big Ten title and then a NCAA Final Four appearance in 1994 under coaching great Jim Stone. In addition to her successes on the court, Kirstine brings 16 years of Division 1 college coaching experience as she has spent time at Ohio University, Northern Illinois, Florida State and Northwestern. During her time at NIU, Kirstine also worked as a coach and trainer with Club Fusion assisting on two national championship final teams. On top of all of that - she is one of the most warm and caring people that you’ll ever meet and we couldn’t be more excited about bringing onto our staff. If you see her or her family (you can’t miss her 6’11’’ husband, Tim, or her towering 2.5 yr old, Jaxsen) around the gym, please introduce yourself and say, “Hi!”.
